Riverside Refreshments Inc. is a family-owned local beverage and vending company that has been in business for over ninety-one years offering, beverage, vending, office coffee service and cafeteria services in two states throughout the Central Savannah River Area.

The position is a support role for several areas leading a team of 10 –15 warehouse picking employees. The supervisor possesses a combination of qualities, including leading, planning, organizing, and directing daily activities on the pick line. This position works side by side with your team. The supervisor is an effective communicator, motivator, demonstrates strong work ethics, displays empathy, technical expertise, and the ability to inspire employees.

Responsibilities:
• Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
• Directs the day-to-day operations of the line, ensuring pick line associates follow line rotation and product pulling schedules as scheduled, distributing the workload evenly, and enforces processes.
• Perform production duties such as manual lifting, stocking, and packing of crates containers.
• Directs movement of product and inventory from warehouse racks to pick line slot system throughout the shift daily.
• Report defective products to the department supervisor and/or Senior Management.
• Responsible for printing tickets for crate slip, stacking the crates by route on the pallets for route drivers.
• Monitors work area ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.
• Monitors pick line associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when utilizing work tools, including box cutters, pallet jacks, trash compactor and all other equipment job specific.

Physical Demands:
• May be required to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift to 5 to 50 pounds.
• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, , repetitive motions, pushing and pulling of product and crate containers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership, and conflict resolution.
• Strong knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods.
• Critical thinking ability and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to create a positive work environment and build healthy working relationships across the team.
• Maintain safe and secure environment, adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Provide coaching and skill development to employees on a consistent basis.
• Must be an organized self-starter and motivator.
• Ability to plan and prioritize to meet fulfillment of orders.
• Be diligent and punctual, always on time
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory systems.

Education/Experience Required:
• High School Diploma required, preferably secondary education with a focus in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Must be able to work five days a week including Sunday and holidays.
• Two plus years of combined work experience in a team or supervisory position
• Proven track record of managing employees in a warehouse environment.
